2012 Shaping Up Fine

With this new year, opportunities seem to be coming in from all directions!  I am very fortunate to have a show in two public galleries this spring/summer, showing my very first retrospective survey!  Hard to believe at this green age, but I’ve got the work and I’m showing it!  Look At All the Things We’ve Found: a ten year survey of paintings by Meghan Hildebrand opens at the Langham Cultural Centre on March 30, then will open at the Yukon Arts Centre Gallery June 7.

I’ll be showing new work at Madrona Gallery this spring too - Flotsam, Jetsam, Lagan and Derelict opens April 7.  We’ve got our fingers crossed for some live music since that was so nice last year!

And in punk rock news, The Abbie Hoffman Society, my band, is going on tour this summer!!  With the irrepressible Slim Milkie.  Watch for the July tour dates.  We’re looking at Cortes Island, Cumberland, Duncan, Nanaimo, Victoria, Vancouver, Roberts Creek with a victorious wind-up show in Powell Riviera.

  1. Nice going Meghan. you deserve it. You are a constant inspiration. I am just heading off to Mexico and won’t be back until April so i will miss your show opening. i’ll try and get over to see it when i get back.
i have a new wedbsite and a blog under the painting stories section. The response has been interesting and fun.

    Keep up the good work.
